On Tuesday 29 September, the team at NESI Professionals came together at our HQ for a Macmillan Coffee Morning, taking some time out of the working day to enjoy good food, plenty of coffee and, most importantly, support a fantastic cause.
Macmillan Coffee Morning is one of the UK’s biggest annual fundraising events, bringing people together to raise money and support those living with cancer. Since it began in 1990, millions of people have taken part in Coffee Mornings across workplaces, communities, schools and homes.
Coffee, Cake and Good Company
Our Coffee Morning gave the NESI team the chance to step away from the day-to-day for a little while, catch up with colleagues and enjoy some well-earned treats.
There was plenty of coffee, plenty of cake and, as you would expect, a good amount of conversation around the table.
While the event was a simple one, it was a great reminder that fundraising doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes, bringing people together over a cup of coffee is enough to make a difference.
Supporting Macmillan Cancer Support
As a business working within the health and social care sector, supporting initiatives that make a difference to people’s lives is particularly important to us.
Macmillan provides practical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer, as well as their families and loved ones. Funds raised through Coffee Mornings help Macmillan continue providing that support to people when they need it most.
We’re proud that the NESI team could play a small part in supporting such an important cause.
A Big Thank You
A big thank you to everyone who helped organise the Coffee Morning, brought along something to share and, of course, everyone who donated. We’re delighted to share that, together, we raised over £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support. A huge thank you to everyone at NESI Professionals who donated, contributed, brought along treats or simply stopped by to support the morning. Every contribution makes a difference, and we’re proud that our team could come together to support such an important cause.
And finally… we’ll definitely be needing another excuse for cake soon!
